Vercel makes production deployment protection free on every plan

Vercel Authentication can protect every deployment in a project, including production, at no additional cost on every plan, replacing the previous need for the $150-per-month Advanced Deployment Protection add-on for production domains.

Who is affected

Vercel projects on any plan that need authenticated access to production or preview deployments.

Action required

Enable All Deployments protection where appropriate, verify intended account access and use exceptions only for specific domains that must remain public.

Evidence boundary

Vercel proves the no-additional-cost Vercel Authentication entitlement across plans. It does not make Password Protection universally free or remove the need to configure protection.
