New stateFrom 1 October 2026, eligible annual-term CSP software subscriptions billed monthly carry a 5% uplift; existing eligible subscriptions take the uplift at renewal on or after that date.

Who is affected

CSP partners and customers transacting eligible annual-term software subscriptions with monthly billing, including Microsoft's named examples such as SQL Server, Windows Server, Client Access Licenses and System Center.

Action required

Identify eligible annual-term monthly-billed software subscriptions and renewals on or after 1 October, update customer pricing communications and commercial forecasts, and keep annual-billed or month-to-month subscriptions outside this uplift.
