Cloudflare adds AI Gateway credits as a second entitlement path for three Workers AI models

The three frontier models gated to Workers Paid on 28 July can now also be accessed without Workers Paid when billed with prepaid AI Gateway credits, at 50 requests per minute per account and model rather than 20 under standard Workers AI billing.

Previous stateFrom 28 July, Kimi K2.6, Kimi K2.7 Code and GLM-5.2 required Workers Paid under the standard Workers AI billing path.
New stateWorkers Paid remains the standard entitlement path, while prepaid AI Gateway credits now provide an alternative paid path to the same three models with the published higher per-model rate limit.

Who is affected

Workers AI and AI Gateway customers invoking @cf/moonshotai/kimi-k2.6, @cf/moonshotai/kimi-k2.7-code or @cf/zai-org/glm-5.2.

Action required

Choose Workers Paid standard billing or AI Gateway unified billing, fund the applicable paid path and enforce the corresponding per-account, per-model rate limit.

Evidence boundary

AI Gateway credits are prepaid billing, not a free entitlement. The 50-versus-20 request rate applies only to the three named frontier models and the specified billing paths.
