Cloudflare gates standard GLM-5.3 on Workers AI to paid access

Cloudflare added the standard Z.ai GLM-5.3 model to Workers AI on 28 August 2026 with a paid-access requirement: accounts need either the Workers Paid plan or prepaid AI Gateway credits, with published unit pricing of $1.40 per million input tokens, $0.26 per million cached input tokens and $4.40 per million output tokens.

Paid access required

Commercial transition

Previous stateThe governed SkuTrace corpus tracked GLM-5.3 Flash on Workers AI but did not yet track the separate standard GLM-5.3 model or its model-specific paid-access entitlement.
New stateThe standard @cf/zai-org/glm-5.3 model is available on Workers AI and requires either the Workers Paid plan or prepaid AI Gateway credits, with Cloudflare publishing model-specific token pricing.

Who is affected

Cloudflare Workers AI users evaluating or invoking the standard Z.ai GLM-5.3 model, including accounts otherwise using Workers Free.

Action required

Confirm the account has Workers Paid or sufficient prepaid AI Gateway credits before selecting the standard GLM-5.3 model, and use the published model-specific token rates for cost modelling.

Evidence boundary

Cloudflare proves standard GLM-5.3 availability, the paid-access alternatives and unit pricing. This event is distinct from already-governed GLM-5.3 Flash, and it does not prove any customer’s model usage or spend.
