AWS Interconnect – multicloud introduces a free 500 Mbps tier

AWS offers one qualifying local Tier 1 500 Mbps Interconnect – multicloud connection per customer, per AWS Region and per generally available cloud service provider without an AWS connection charge.

Who is affected

Customers connecting AWS to supported third-party cloud service providers through Interconnect – multicloud.

Action required

Confirm region, provider, connection class and one-per-boundary eligibility, and account separately for third-party provider charges.

Evidence boundary

The entitlement removes the AWS charge only for the qualifying tier. The other cloud provider may charge separately, and additional or higher-capacity connections remain outside the free boundary.
