Auth0 made Third-Party Apps for Organizations generally available on 10 July 2026, allowing tenant administrators to opt organizations into third-party application access while keeping access blocked by default for existing organizations.

New stateTenant administrators can allow or block third-party application access per organization. Access remains blocked by default, the application's connection must be promoted to domain level for organization authentication, and user consent is scoped independently to each organization.

Who is affected

Auth0 customers using Organizations who need external or third-party applications to authenticate users within an organization.

Action required

Explicitly enable third-party application access only for intended organizations, ensure the application's connection is configured as a domain connection, and test organization-scoped consent before relying on the new access path.

Evidence boundary

General availability does not opt existing organizations in automatically. Access remains blocked by default until explicitly enabled, the connection must be domain-level for organization authentication, and consent granted in one organization does not carry over to another.
