Atlassian sets a three-stage Data Center sales, expansion and read-only end-of-life transition

Atlassian ends new-customer Data Center sales in March 2026, existing-customer expansion in March 2028 and support for impacted products in March 2029, when instances become read-only.

Who is affected

Atlassian Data Center customers and Marketplace app vendors, except products or cohorts explicitly carved out.

Action required

Inventory products and apps, plan cloud migration and validate exceptions such as Bitbucket Hybrid licensing or extended maintenance.

Evidence boundary

Bitbucket Data Center is excluded from the standard EOL path. Government authorisation and exceptional extended-maintenance cases remain separate.

Timeline

  1. New-customer sales end

    New customers can no longer purchase affected Data Center subscriptions or new Marketplace Data Center apps.

  2. Existing-customer expansion ends

    Existing customers lose new subscription, app, expansion and upgrade purchasing rights for affected products.

  3. End of life

    Impacted subscriptions expire and become read-only.
